New ebook format and app

Post by Hovhannes »

Dear Ebook lovers,

Hi there. First of all let me greet all of you here.

My friends and I are making a research right now to find out if you guys would like this new format of ebooks that is coming out soon.

Back in 1985 there were this type of books called "Choose Your Adventure" which allowed the reader to choose the plot by jumping through pages.

My question goes to all the writers and readers over here. Would like to read/write books in this format? Sort of creating/reading a non-linear (interactive) type of book where the reader can choose who dies, who loves who, and basically what happens next.

Thanks in advance for all the replies and comments. :)

This concept seems interesting. I've played games like that where you choose what to say and that impacts how the game ends. I could see how it would work in a book format. I would definitely give it a try, it sounds like fun. :)

I was just talking to a friend about those books the other day! I loved them when I was younger and would definitely try it, mostly for the nostalgia.

Yes, I think they sound pretty cool.

That does sound very interesting. I would want to go back and redo all of the different choices to see how the story plays out in different ways.

This is fascinating. It will be similar to the games I play with multiple endings. But because I like to see how every scenario plays out, it can take me longer to finish certain books.

As a kid, when I hated the ending I would make a different ending in my mind. So it is a really interesting idea
