Help opening ebook files (epub, mobi, PDF, etc.)

I select the PDF format but it tells me "You chose to download the book in epub format."
Why?
I simpy want the PDF format. Are the two same ? and I do not want to use OBC platform for reading it.
How can I have the book "The Solution is Political Revolution: Who is Jillion R. Rising?" in PDF?

When I select the PDF button, why does it prompt me to download epub version. Where's the PDF file for downloading.
And why am I getting so many emails to confirm book download when it has not been downloaded???

Thank you for this guide! As someone who hasn't used very many e-readers I was able to figure out how to get most of the books I want to read available!

My issue isn't about not being able to open after download but, not downloading at all
I mean, I received email telling me to review free online books only for me to try downloading and I was requested to pay $9.
In short, there should be link provided to free download of books tagged free.

I use am iOS device and have no issue downloading pdf documents.

The format of this book simply does not down, it says safari cannot open the page.
