Help opening ebook files (epub, mobi, PDF, etc.)

2. I am using an Android phone.

4. I choose the file I want to open. A list of available apps for use is displayed and I choose the app I prefer. Then the pdf is opened in that app.
5. After choosing the app I want to use to open the file, the app attempts to open the file and that is when I receive an error message.
6. Yes,the error message says" Error, cannot open this file". This is after I have tried to use Kindle app and WPS app
7. I did read the top tips and tried them,but I still cannot open the book.

This guide is helpful.
I've only reviewed ebooks in PDF and epub formats. Personally, I prefer using play books to open my epub files, mostly because of the page flipping with volume buttons, dark mode and the 3D effect which the OBC reader app doesn't have. The play books app however is terrible for PDF files. I use my PC for these types.
