I love to have a physical bookshelf library to show on display my love of reading to others. It helps to make a space very home for me since I have always had bookshelves in my house.

My library is at the local high school. It is connected to all the other libraries in out town which is a big area.
The best part of my library is not the books but the librarian. I walk in she greets me and everyone by name. She knows what you like to read, will put books aside for you or place holds on books she knows you will like.
There have been times that I would go there not for any books to borrow but to just see her and hear what is going on in the community as I felt like she was the one who knew what was going on with everything.

I worked as a librarian for a decade. I used to love that library like none other - all things about it. By the time I departed the job, I sadly hated that library. The library director, my former boss, wrecked it. Seven good years before the new Director came in and started making changes. I haven't been back to a physical library since the day I turned in my keys and walked out the door.

I love the smell of my old books...
They smell differently then the new ones...
Older is better...

Freedom is what I feel every time I am in a library in general. The authority to select books that appeal to you is a pleasure, and taking your time grasping notions from that book that altered your perspective is one of a kind. The library, in general, is excellent.

A library is indeed a place for peace and knowledge. What I love about our library is simply the organization of books. I also adore the scent each book has. The place is just a vibe.
