I think it does. Every country has old and young people and can as well relate to the concept of retirement .

Yes, it can, here in Kenya, we have the national social security fund it manages the retirement schemes for the employees in Kenya and there are also private retirement schemes.
An employee can be a member of both and contribute monthly

Definitely. Most definitely the lessons and teachings in this book can as well be applied to those of us who stay outside the US even though the primary audience that the author had intended to reach stay in the US.

While reading the book, I thought the same that it applied only to those in the US. But on further reading, I realized that retirement is common in almost all countries. Despite that this book would be most applicable to Americans, there are some values and lessons that could be universally learned from it.

It is mostly going to be beneficial to people in the United States. However, everyone can read it and apply it irrespective of what you do or where you live actually.

I think this book is still relevant to readers outside the US. Planning for a career you love and preparing for your retirement are universal concepts that apply across the board. Many people find themselves destitute at retirement so this book would be a good read for them. The only thing they have to do is find the equivalent of the resources mentioned in the book for their country.

The lessons in this book can comfortably be adopted outside the US. Old age comes to everyone regardless of geographical location. I believe the lessons in this book can be applied in sub Saharan Africa that I hail from.

It is crucial for individuals to think and prepare for the future. Work now for long term gratification. This cannot be overemphasized.

Yes! I do think that the lessons in this book can and should be applied in any part of the world. Unfortunately, where I live, people are left with little or no money after retirement, most people just struggle to get by and they dont plan for the future. Also, the adults are largely dependent on their children for their upkeep after retirement.

We face a similar problem in South Africa. There is not enough education on financial planning, so it is common to see people spending their entire paycheck in a few weeks. I think having more books like Reconfigurement circulating through the continent would inspire better financial planning.

This book at its basic level is for people in the US. But I'm sure readers across the globe would love to try this out.

I think this applies to everyone in every country because it creates the self-awareness for every adult to prepare for their future instead of solely focusing on the present. Working tirelessly for years with nothing to show for in the future can be very detrimental.

This is a very clever question, and before I read this book, I also wonder if this would apply to me since I don't reside in the U.S., and after reading it, I found out the answer. All of us, despite our geographical location, will retire someday. And that one factor could be the reason that this book applies to all people.

F Scott Fitzgerald once said "That is the beauty of literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong". The book maybe written with USA in mind, but I believe every reader in respective of where he/she comes from will gain value reading its content. This is because the book cover important aspect of human endeavors such as career, and retirement plans and many things in-between in a fun and engaging narrative.
