That even the way we plan for something develops as our surroundings evolve. It may sound simple and dumb, but that may be why we often forget about it.

I learnt I don't have to wait until I get to Retirement age before I state reconfiguring my life or plan for retirement as I can do it at any age I find okay.

There are many interesting topics in this book, but the most important lesson is that it tells you the essentials of planning and changing the way you generate income to have a secure economy for old age.

I learnt that you can plan your retirement. Growing up I had no idea about this, people just worked until they couldn't work anymore. And when they get their pension, they don't use it wisely cause they never planned ahead.

I learnt that we need to start thinking about our finances when we retire sooner rather than later. We won't work forever and who wants to be dependent on others when they retire.

The best thing I learnt from this book is that I don't need to sacrifice my current lifestyle or pick up a job I don't enjoy to safeguard my finances. Unlike other books that can be too rigid and depressing, this book offered me practical advice that was both hopeful and empowering.

I learned that there is a need to always plan every phase of our life, be it the present or the future. We should always learn how to plan.

I discovered that, if not adequately planned out, retirement may be quite dreary and frightening. Additionally, being productive is possible even after retirement; productivity is not necessarily over when you stop working.

It is not enough to just be good at your job until retirement and let the 401s and savings to live comfortably after you retire. And retirement planning should not be understood as something for the 40s and 50s. One should start planning as early as they start their job.

This book made me more aware of how important it is to educate myself in terms of finances. Change can happen at any age and it is wiser to financially plan ahead.
