Firstly, I learned that retirement is a mindset. You decide if retirement is the end of something (career, active years, youth) or it is a turning point and the beginning of a new chapter of your life.
Secondly, I learned that because the governments do not make enough provisions for our retirements, we need to plan ahead and make sure we are ready for our post-retirement lives.

I think the greater lesson I learned from this book is the fact that old age is just meant to be a relaxing stage of one's life. Money should not be chased after anymore.

My greatest takeaway from the book was that, reconfigurement can happen at any stage in life. Also, planning ahead is very important especially planning for your life after retirement.

I was startled by the astonishing number of Americans that don't like their jobs.
It was amazing to learn that planning ahead is not only designed for retirement but even for a career change. Before one quits his job, he must have planned for the future to avoid hitting the rock bottom.

The biggest paradigm shift for me was related to the statistic that the life span beyond retirement has increased by ten to fifteen years. This implies that you have to plan and figure out how you can increase your income for the additional years and also re-look your career planning if you still want to continue being active during those additional years.

The greatest lesson I learnt is that we should deprive joy of the things we do for a living and we should always have faith and trust the process.

That would be contineously working hard. It has to be accompanied by planning ahead, while taking the necessary precautions, and taking part in the joys of life, whenever we get the opportunity.

What i learned is that you don't have to wait till your almost at your retirement age to begin planning your finances. The earlier is always the better

I completely agree with you. The future is determined by the present.

The greatest lesson I learned from the book is to pre-plan before retirement and also the importance of writing a budget.

So many people, work hard for many years, but they end up poor after retirement.
The best lesson for me is he importance of making plans in order to save money for later on, but also the fact that we have to enjoy every moment because life is too short.

The biggest lesson for me was that 65 is just a number and in today's world, it cannot be considered as a retirement age. We can work way beyond 65 and also engage ourselves in the kind of work that we enjoy doing.

I realized the importance of planning retirement while considering balancing work with private life. Enjoying youth should not impede organizing financially for the future, especially having health covered.
