Puns like this really helped give a light hearted tone to the seriousness of the topic

Yes!! This was so funny and the wordplay was on point. Definitely my favorite joke.James Goodman wrote: ↑05 Jul 2022, 09:45 "Who handles the financial matters in a monastery? That's nun of your business." This was my favorite joke. I really liked because of the wordplay.

Actually, I really didn't enjoy the humour in this book.... But there was a joke that made me chuckle. "As an aside, I have a friend who's an IRS agent and she's often completely exhausted, you might say her job is very taxing." It's honestly corny... But it was so bad it made me laugh involuntarily.

Same, can't beat the classic "dad joke"Obi Egbuniwe wrote: ↑08 Jul 2022, 10:55 I'm a sucker for puns, so when the author said "Who handles the money in a monastery, that's nun of your business" I hollered. That was my favourite joke from Reconfigurement.

"Who handles the financial matters in a monastery? That's nun of your business." The author did not just select puns for the iambic aspects that it contained but they triggered the reader to reflect on the connotative meaning of each pun.
