For me, I don't think tolerance for war has decreased in any way. There are more measures to avoid wars these days.

At this point, no one wants wars except for selfish reasons. We just want the world to be a better place

Well I certainly hope it would be decreasing, but I also believe that it has a lot to do with the ways war has developed as well. Our current understanding of war is probably completely different than the one they had in WWII, considering that the ways to fight on themselves have changed with technology and globalization. In any case, yes, I hope it is decreasing.

I think war tolerance is decreasing mainly because, in our history books, the war took place a lot. But now that the new generation has technology and awareness is spread quickly, war has decreased. People can deal with problems better. I don't think wars can be eliminated because we still have war taking place in some parts of the world.

Yes, I think it is true that our tolerance for war is decreasing with each generation. In the past, things were different, but now people can learn about things far more easily through the internet, and this allows people to better their judgement. War is not just about winning or losing, but it is also about so many people suffering on both sides. It is also about families getting destroyed and the future being taken away from kids if they are being recruited by force

I believe a lot of things happening in our world today has made it difficult to completely remove the idea of war. The pride and selfish desires of people to will and control things have made it difficult to eradicate this menace called war.

No, I do not think our tolerance for war is decreasing. The level we are today and the technological advancement have given people enough confidence and desire to own things at the expense of others. People no longer care and can do anything possible to get what they want.

In my opinion, war is never profitable. No matter who wins, the losses are heavy on both sides. Good thing is that this generation has come to understand that and does not support using war as a solution to issues. But wars will exist as long as people have disputes. I don't think they can be completely eradicated.

I do not think war can ever be eliminated. The young generation has less tolerance for war because many of us have seen firsthand what war does to people who were in it-it doesn't matter whether they were on the 'winning' side or the 'losing' side. War takes its toll in the form of PTSD, physical disabilities, and mental health issues and it changes the way one views the world. I might be very pragmatic but I think if no war is fought for the next 50 years, the next generation will 'forget' the horrors and be more accepting of using weapons to silence any conflict.

I do think with each generation the tolerance for war is decreasing. The more we evolve as people the more we want to just live in peace and harmony. Unfortunately I don't see a world where there will ever not be war due to our countries constantly being in conflict.

We have the ability to look back on the effects of war over thousands of years. I do not think war will ever be fully eliminated. Ultimately, those who crave power will resort to the most foolproof way to acquire it- violence and physical strength.

It's funny that you posted then because I was just pondering this the other day. I do think that people overall are less and less willing to risk their own lives for war or their families. However, I don't think that will be removed completely anytime soon. As long as, you have governments oppressing people then eventually people will get desperate enough to finally fight back. When the cost of death is less than the anguish of continuing to live then you will have war. Or in other words, if those at war would rather be dead than keep going then yes there will always be war. North Korea comes to the top of mind about oppressed people. Then you have the truly desperate populations. Ones that can not survive living as they currently do. Think no food or water. Lack of basic resources will cause wars out of desperation. Lastly, you have wars caused by "morals". One group disagrees with another so much that they are willing to risk their lives to make them stop. You will always have fanatics that will push and push until someone has to stop them. I think that is because the majority of the world doesn't want war we are perhaps leaving a void that could be filled by "bad people" and they will get away with whatever they can until someone stops them. Much like Hitler and how long his atrocities went on before it was so bad that it was hard to stop. We have to stop these fringe people/countries before they are killing millions of people not after. So maybe going forward there will be less but no, I don't think it will ever stop. The world will always have people that want to control others.

I don't think war will ever be eliminated entirely. I would like to think our tolerance for war is decreasing, but I think it's more that people are just able to speak out and share their opinions more easily today than they were in the past.

majority of people who witnessed world war would tell and preach peace as they would never like to witness an act like that again, 'once bitten twice shy.' that is the only major lesson one can learn (experience).

War is one of those weird things where an optimistic part of me hopes that it will be eliminated. But realistically, even if technology allows us to be more vocal with our opinions and to build movements against them, to be more informed before we form opinions, that doesn't always hold true. As long as a tribalistic part of humans exists, there will always be war, even if each generation grows in the number of people who despise it.
