Young people are the leaders of tomorrow. They are strong, energetic, and crave change when they see no potential from the government. Therefore student involvement in wars is a way of expressing their rights.

Students are mostly affected by decisions made by the government, and they shouldn't be killed because they're protesting for their rights. Most of the decision the government makes put their life on hold at times and it affects them beyond reason.

The statement is true. It is happening right now in my country because lecturers are on strike.

Students bear the brunt at the end. Their plans are disrupted. Some become depressed. It affects their overall psychological and academic performance.

Students are mostly affected because during war schools are shut down, and some may even in the process be killed. The government say to stop the mishap could have prevented the killing of those students.

I also believe that goverment directives always have an immense impact on students' lives. However, I always find this shocking because students account for more than half of the population across the world. Consequently, governments need to consider their interests while making any important decisions.

If a war, strike, or shutdown is declared by the government (irrespective of the country), the students' life trajectory will be greatly affected to the point of death. In respect to the killing of students within this book, what do you think?
Yeah, I definitely think that's true. Society as a whole tends to be affected by the ruling party's decisions but students are often seen as the future of society, so maybe that's why the effect on them seems more greatly emphasised.

Sure, students are really at the receiving end of most government decisions because they are at a point where they need the government to set themselves up, be it through school, business, providing a serene and safe environment to thrive etc.

Students are the future leaders of tomorrow. This is enough reason to nurture and protect them at all times.

I do think this is quite unfortunate as we are already seeing this in many African countries and mine as well where students have been at home for several months due to incessant strikes. It definitely is something that should propel governments to act with a greater sense of responsibility and duty.

Is it a sign that education is the least looked upon institution? I think that is a mistake for governments to behave like that because children are the future and the way they are treated reflects on what lies ahead in the future.

Yes, it is true that Students are really been affected by almost all government actions either directly or indirectly.

I agree that students are most times on the receiving end of whatever the government does. This is because they will be affected by wars and strikes and every other negative thing the government does.

I agree with the statement that students are always affected by decisions of the government. They are in no way involved in the decision making yet they have to bear the consequences. This is the harsh truth. With the student killings in the book it is important that the author approaches the subject sensitively.

Every decision made by the government in aneducation sector always affect the students be it minor or major because they are the main stakeholder in education. It's just so sad that some of these decisions made a negative impact in the life of the students.

In respect to the killing of students within this book, I think that was a very vile thing to do. It was unnecessary, wicked, and cruel.
