I feel like there are some points in common between “Wild World” and “The boom thief”; the way both protagonists fight tenaciously for what they believe in, no matter the consequeces such behavior brings, it gives me goosebumps. It’s an aspect almost forgotten in today’s world, seems like nobody really cares about anything anymore since all they “fancy” is usually dictated by society’s taste and rules, and therefore not worthy losing your life over.
Absolutely great book, definitely deserves BOTM!

It was a nice book with some twists and thought-provoking events. There were many characters in the novel that made the reading experience interesting.

I went into Wild World completely blind. I had no idea what this book was about and honestly from the cover I was not especially intrigued. However, I am SO glad I decided to give it a try. This book was phenomenal. I'm not one to read a lot of historical fiction, but this book was so interesting and gave such a different perspective of the Vietnam War era. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes historical fiction (or anyone that wants to try something out of their comfort zone like I did). I would give this book 4 out of 4 stars.

The book, generally speaking does a good job at presenting the mind of America's youth during the Vietnam War. Despite the employment of Hippie peace sign imagery on the cover, the book sidesteps hippie culture and all its manifestations and lasers in on the effect the Vietnam war and the Nixon administration as a whole had on the psyche of the youths, particularly undergraduates who have a penchant for protest and rhetoric

Although this book is historical fiction, it's nice to know that the author depicts the protagonist from a realistic point of view. I also like that this book acknowledges the fact that it's okay to make mistakes, especially in one's youthful days. This book sure has lots of lessons for readers.

One of the things I liked most was how the people came out in unity to protest against the injustice done. I didn't like that the reason the war was resorted to wasn't expounded in details. The writing style was simple and easy to comprehend. The book is in the historical fiction genre. The title didn't mean much to me. They were okay to me. I'd highly recommend this book to people because it is an enjoyable book.

Wild World is an intense yet intriguing novel from beginning to end. Peter S. Rush is a strong writer who keeps the reader engaged throughout the book. His writing style is captivating. Some of the themes include activism, romance, and the Vietnam War. I recommend Wild World to those who enjoy historical fiction, particularly on the Vietnam War. If you want insight into what life was like in the 1970s, I encourage you to read this book. Sensitive readers, however, may be triggered by the violence. I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

The book’s cover had drawn my attention to the book first. It portrayed a strong message on what to expect while reading this book. The review also denoted that there is a heavy display of emotion. I look forward to reading this book.

I like everything about this book except for the heavy use of profanity. I like Steve's character the most. He was such an amazing and selfless character. I like how the author described each character and plot. Although, too much wasn't said about the Vietnam war as I expected. All I saw was the corruption in the American police force.

I loved that it confronted the Vietnam War from the perspective of an ordinary citizen instead of a veteran. It showed how war affected the people on the ground, which is a perspective we hardly see in media.

I loved this book. I think there's nothing I particularly disliked. I mostly read thrillers, so I'm used to twists, turns, and to being surprised, so I found the ending a bit predictable, but I think that's fine because this is not a thriller or mystery. Obviously, the book is historical fiction, but I think we can add romance, coming-of-age and social commentary as subgenres. I love the cover, but I didn't get the title. To be honest, I didn't know that song until I read the book. I would definitely recommend this book. Except, maybe, to extreme right-wing readers. The main lesson I learned was not a lesson but an emotion. Though I knew the facts, I had never truly understood how much the Vietnam War affected each and every one of the citizens.

This book is extremely interesting to read as it has a very simple and understanding plot. I've read about war stories but this particular one that describes the active nature of The Vietnam during war and after war is quite catchy. In all there is always room for peace. I commend the author for this great piece and I'll give this book 4 out of 4 stars. History lovers and history students will enjoy this book a lot

I really liked how the war crime story is presented in this book. The Vietnam war topic is not so known to people so it was a really new experience.

Steve is the perfect example of someone that swims against the current. During times of war, your true character is easy to see, and his leadership skills become quite prevalent.

Personally I find books about war to be a bit triggering. The violence and gore is quite heavy in this book and there seems to quite a bit of profanity too…
