Yes, I think it's decreasing by each generation given the fact that our current generation doesn't like war just like the generation in the book. That's because war only comes with death and the lives lost would have made a way better future if they hadn't gone to fight. Also, war is meaningless and just a way of being purported by leaders who will not even fight .

I do not think that we can totally eliminate war. However, I think each generation learns from the past and evolves, hence, the decreasing tolerance for war.

Yes I believe that the young generation is able to resolve disputes through other means other than war. The younger generation is also open to accommodating other people's needs compared to the past generations

While distance is bound to divide one country from another, I think the said distance is getting smaller due to social media, so, yes, I'd argue that younger generations are less keen on divisions of any kind.

Yes, it is decreasing. Mostly because the recent generation has discovered that there is no need to start wars when you can have diplomatic talks. Also, there is social media awareness.

Yeah. I believe the views of old generation that generally resulted into increased conflicts are not very prevalent. Today people are more tolerant and don't find the need to impose their views on others.

Those that have experienced war don't want to experience it again, and those of us that were told the stories and have seen the after effects of war pray never to experience it. Though war can't be completely eliminated, it can be avoided.

Yes I believe that the tolerance for war is decreasing with each generation because information is more open to the public now than it was in the past. I do believe that war can be completely eliminated someday and countries should be able to resolve issues without resorting to violence.

Thank you for this thought-provoking question. If you compare the general attitudes of different generations to War War 2, The Vietnam War (as discussed in the book), and the Russia-Ukraine War currently taking place, it is evident that there is a decreasing tolerance for war with each generation. I believe this is because our society is gradually shifting from a nationalist mindset to a more individualist one. Also, the increasing role of social media provides an individual with a variety of uncensored content from all over the world. Therefore, whereas generations that grew up during the World War 2 era received most (if not all) of their information through propaganda and censored media, the current generation is receiving uncensored information and real stories of real people that are not always politically motivated. In addition, the more wars the human race experiences, the more educated it becomes about war and its lasting effects. Each generation has the benefit of being more educated about the nature and effects of war than the previous generation.

All that being said, although it is evident that tolerance for war is decreasing, I do not believe we will ever get to a point where there is absolutely no war anywhere in the world. Unfortunately, there will always be at least one leader with a selfish agenda, there will always be a supremacist group that wants to impose its beliefs, and there will always be some sort of lack in a particular area that drives the people there to conflict.

Absolutely! As time goes on, many have come to different realizations and diverse methods of perceiving situations. The world we live in today has a tolerance for war that was not the same as the last decade and that tolerance will continue to decline. As for eliminating war, I am not sure that will be possible.

In our generation, I think that there is a definite increase in the spread of awareness of the harsh realities of war. I think that with the boom of social media and political correctness in society, more light has been shed on the negatives of war. And I think this is what impacts people saying and thinking that our generation's tolerance for war is decreasing. On the other hand, past generations viewed war differently since wars were started for different reasons then. I think that with humans being human, there won't ever be a way to ever end war completely. We may stop anymore world wars, but we might also find new ways and/or reasons to fight each other.

I believe it is decreasing. But the truth is that war cannot be completely eliminated someday. Some young boys and men are carriers of war. It is going to be hard for war to be completely eliminated.

I think that its true. The tolerance for war has decreased immensely. Nobody in this generation wants to be drafted for war troops at the age of twenty because people now have dreams to fulfill and lives to live. Nobody is ready to give up all that in the name of fighting for the country.

I do not think that our tolerance for war is decreasing. If you look well in our world, you will see that tensions are currently high. Countries in the world are throwing threats and it seems like they are preparing for a possible world war III. And I hope that war stops completely one day, but no one has any way of knowing for sure if it ever will.

I do think that our tolerance for war is decreasing. But I do not think that it is possible to eliminate war someday. This is because it is too easy to dehumanize the enemy, and it is too easy for leaders to commit egregious crimes and not pay the price.
