I have read a few war books but I found this book to be a unique book because it added more than just war.

This book brings to life some of the realities of life and some attempts to put an end to them. This is a very interesting book.

This was distinct since the populace was opposed to violence. Other novels about the war merely provide accounts of the conflict and are not at all like this one.

Although the Vietnam War serves as a catalyst for the beginning of the story, I would hesitate to classify this book as purely 'war literature'. While the disillusionment of old, traditional power structures is a central theme throughout, Wild World primarily focuses on the home front and Steve's struggles against corrupt officials. In this sense, the novel sheds light on the lasting impact of war on society beyond the battlefield.
