I think their love was healthy at first but it went downhill when Steve joined the police force. Also they have communication issues and this caused their relationship to become damaged further. Their love was unhealthy, true, but I don't think it was toxic

It was a toxic relationship. Steve did all he could for her, but she did not do the same for Steve. It seemed like Steve was a lost puppy without her. Even when she cheated on him he still thought that it was his fault.

I think their relationship was one-sided. Roxy would not compromise for Steve. Yet, Steve would always make his decisions while considering her. Roxy loved Steve out of convenience and the unconditional support that he showed her through her family crises. When Steve experienced a change in his life by joining the police, her fire for him simply faded that she was unfaithful.

The foundations of a healthy relationship was clearly lacking in Steve's relationship with Roxy. It was clear for all to see. If those major factors to a healthy relationship are lacking, the relationship can't be healthy.

I think their relationship was toxic. Steve was always out of his way to please Roxy even to his own detriment. I believe Love should be mutual.

I don't believe their love was toxic, but I can say that after Steve joined the police force the relationship tool a turn for the worse.
I also don't know how things really were from Roxy's end. I merely understood that they had a lot to deal with and it started to seem like they weren't ready for the kind of commitment they took up. Roxy was analyzing her career choices and Steve was dealing with so much in the police force. When communication broke down, it was almost as if things just couldn't be helped.

I'd say it was toxic between the both of them because they have got different dreams and aspirations so many ideas and suggestions were not agreeable and conclusive among the both of them.

I hated it, based on their actions, they clearly didn't want to be together but were too scared to let go. I'm glad they didn't end up together.

I think Steve and Roxy's love was true. Steve really loved Roxy with all his heart and Roxy loved him as well. The problem is that Steve was easily swayed by his feelings while Roxy was not.

I feel like their relationship can't be deemed as toxic or healthy either they both had their demons to face. But Roxy was kind of selfish and thought of what was only important to her.

I don't think it is healthy. Despite the love they've for each other, they grew apart because they couldn't communicate well. Steve kept so much from Roxy because he felt she couldn't understand. But Roxy thinks he is changing to a monster in uniform.

I think it was definitely toxic. A situation where you have to make concessions to accommodate someone else is not ideal.

I believe that it started out as a sweet relationship, full of prospects. But they failed to re-invent themselves over time. It became boring. And from there, toxicity set in.

I agree. Their love was very unhealthy. I wonder why they let it go on for so long despite knowing that it was not right.

I believe the love between Roxy and Steve was toxic. Steve always wanted to impress her and ended up resenting her for it. He joined the police because he thought it would impress her.
