I also found the high occurrence of adult scenes in the book quite annoying. However, they did a good job in setting the perfect image of how the society was back then.

They were a bit too detailed 😄

No, the sex scenes didn't bother me. I have read far worse.

I'm not sure if you're talking about the violent scenes or the sex scenes in the story. If you're talking about the violence peppered throughout the story, then I think that the story would have been a lot less dramatic if those scenes were described with less detail. Some readers like the shock and awe of disturbing adult scenes, and I happen to be one of those readers.

To give a vivid picture of the events in the story, the author needed to be that detailed. It wasn't a lot for me to handle. Being that it's not a children's book, I believe most adults can handle that.

The adult scene was very disturbing to me too. I feel the author could have used general terms to explain what was meant instead of going into deep details.

The adult scenes seemed to buttress how in love they were. I felt they were fine.

It bothered me to be honest. It just felt like it kept happening at many intervals between Steve and Roxy throughout the novel.

I found the adult scenes disturbing and disappointing because I cannot recommend it to some young adults who I know the story would benefit.

I didn't think they were filled with that much detail, but I agree that they were over-used.

I think they were a bit over the edge anyway. But did I consider them disturbing? No. I just did not feel it uncomfortable to read and moreover, times have changed.

For me, one of the things I enjoyed about Wild World, is the tell it like it is style of writing. Nothing was sugar coated. I therefore, had no problem with the adult scenes as the book should be read by adults only.

If the adult scenes you mentioned are the sex scenes, violence, and drug abuse in the book, then it didn't bother me much. It may be because I've read books more detailed than that.

I don't think the adult scenes is a big deal at all. I just hope that there is an indication that the book is not for minors. I am perfectly comfortable with the sex scenes. I don't think it is too graphic.

I wasn't bothered by the adult scenes in the book. It was moderate and it made the book more interesting. I don't think it was too detailed.
