If you have the right back-up and support yes. Steve had the support, he did not get it from Roxy though but in the end he had it.

With the right attitude and respect for the choice of others around you, I am sure trends can be changed. First, a change you want should begin with you, then you will see many following you for choosing to change what everyone knows is bad. So, gradually one person can fight corruption in an organization, as people begin to join up.

Although it is very impossible, I believe one person can end corruption. The sole requirement is that the person must possess an incredible amount of strength and the proper attitude. The most crucial thing would be to persevere and make an effort to persuade others of their wrongdoing because this will be quite difficult.

It is not possible for a single person to change corruption in a system. There is a saying that a single tree does not make a forest and I strongly agree with this. Change in a corrupt system is only acheiveable if few individuals are willing to work together.

I don't think a single person can cause a change in any corrupt system, rather he or she can attract others who will join In the fight against corruption.

I also had this question on my mind the entire time I was reading the novel. It seems like a vain dream. They can’t do it alone but they can rally other people’s help.

True, Steve was a one-man-squad and his efforts were being frustrated, but that doesn't mean a single man can't fight corruption.

I think it is possible because change starts with one person then others will emulate his or her footstep. With this approach, I think one person can fight against corruption.
