There's literally no healthy relationship without communication, trust, and honesty. So no, I wouldn't describe their relationship as healthy.

It was definitely unhealthy. They kept a lot of secrets from each other which led to a breakdown in communication.

I felt the love was toxic. Steve gave too much than he actually received from Roxy. There should be a balance; this was lacking in their relationship.

Lack of communication and trust are definitely not healthy for a relationship. When a significant change happens, it is normal for two people to get distant from each other. However, I think we can't say their relationship is toxic maybe just unstable.

A relationship with no trust should not continue. Roxy and Steve did not get the memo. Their relationship was toxic and an abomination to all good relationships out there.

You are right. The relationship would have been better if both of them talked to each other and communicated about their feelings, and other things.

Steve and Roxy's relationship can't be categorized as something black or white/healthy or toxic. Considering they were in their early 20s, I'd say they tried their best in making their relationship survive the test of time. Both of them were pretty immature, to begin with, and had their own struggles. It was as healthy as it could get for someone in their circumstances.

In the middle, it did grow toxic but towards the end their relationship dynamic did improve.

Their relationship was just alright it lacked communication. Steve loved Roxy and she did return the love he showed her.

Toxic. Definitely.
But not in the way they were bad to each other. I think they were toxic because they both lack the capacity of being by themselves and not depending on somebody else.
They used one another as a coping mechanism and a trauma response.

I would say it was a toxic relationship because a relationship full of secrets and lies can't last long

I wouldn't say it was toxic, but it wasn't an ideal relationship. There were a lot of cracks in it as Steve joined the police force and their lack of communication caused a drift.

I would say it was toxic. Because the secret kept from each other was much.

I wouldn't classify it as toxic, but there was some unhealthy obsession on Steve's part. Almost all his decisions seemed to be centred around Roxy, and even when he found her cheating on him, he still forgave her easily. He needs to realise his own self-worth as a character and not let his life revolve around her.
