Yes, I believe our tolerance for war is decreasing because the younger generation have access to so much information and nothing is really hidden anymore. Unlike in the past where wars were started for stupid reason, in the present age you have to be accountable for certain actions that are taken.

I do not think it is possible to completely eliminate wart. But I do think that with the increase in communications that has occurred since the Vietnam War, my generation has been able to learn more about it and become less forgiving.

I don't feel so. If anything, it has been taken up a notch. Take Ukraine and Russia for instance, it doesn't quite seem like the hunger and thirst war has reduced in any way.

Wouldn't it be nice if our tolerance for war really was decreasing? I doubt it though. I think what's making it seem so is the fact that people now have many more outlets to express their grievances. But I doubt war will ever be completely eliminated. As long as they're still power-hungry leaders, there will always be the tendency for war. Another interesting thought is how the wars of the future will compare to the ones in the past.

I don't think it's about war specifically (unfortunately). I think it's about compliance and obedience. Previous generations were taught to do what was right. Namely, what their parents or superiors thought was right. "Newer" generations, starting of course with the big opposition to the Vietnam War that we see in the book have more freedom to think for themselves and, slowly, have begun to defy the status quo. But there are still plenty of people, sadly, who support wars.

I think that the generations that have not yet experienced war want more piece and quiet. They don't want for the normal occurrence of the world events to take a wild turn. It's probably because they've seen the aftermath of the greater world conflicts and fear for a similar event to be happening again.

Though from my own opinion, I will say the voice of people that are advocating and wishing that there should not be war has now increase and that is why it seems our tolerance for war decreases. However, this is not necessarily so. The people who won't want war exitsted in those war-torn days, but they are not much then. But now with increase in population, we should expect more people to advocate for peace. And at the same time we should expect that there are now people today around the world that have high tolerance for war and that is why we keep hearing about war everyday from around the world

Yes. I do not think this generation is interested in going to war. There are other ways to manage conflict than war.

We've achieved so much to want to lose them all to war, and we love too hard to watch our loved ones die in a war. So I know this generation isn't interested in war.

While I am hopeful that one day war will be eliminated, I don’t believe it to be very likely nor possible. I do believe that our tolerance for war is decreasing with each new generation as people are starting to see the brutality involved the more we are exposed to it.

Yes. As a millennial myself, I think my tolerance for war is straight zero. The generation right now believes in more humanistic ways when it comes to handling problems. I think we could eradicate wars someday when we learn to eradicate the fact that our pride overpowers the humanity that is left within us. Personally, there is nothing that couldn't be solved by excellent communication if we take pride out of the situation.

War cannot be eliminated this is because to this date there is still abuse of power, injustice and suffering portrayed in this book which is still happening strongly in our society today. The tolerance of war has not decreased, there is a ticking time bomb where people will rise and say no more to all these if a change doesn't happen.

I strongly agree that out tolerance for war is decreasing with each generation. However, I do not think it is completely possible to eliminate war. Man is diverse with different character makeup, experience and beliefs. This diversity in culture and belief can sometimes bring about untoward event and therefore, lead to violence. We could at least try to curb the possibility of war happening.
