Yes, it is true that students are mostly and always on the receiving end of anything that the government propagates. It is a sad thing that affects the stability of one's future, and I believe that it'd change.

The issue of innocent people being harmed by widespread political mishaps is still present today. Even if it shouldn't, there is still a lack of effective management.

Individually, students have limited power. I believe that the power of students comes from their connection together. It's unfortunate, however, that no matter what students do, they may still be on the receiving end, with casualties. The best thing they can do under such circumstances is to lower that number by speaking with one voice.

The late sixties were tumultuous times, and having spent my youth during that time, I recall students across the US raising the consciousness of the country about the absurdity of the war. Unfortunately, backlash by the pro-war supporters was directed at the students. Kent State was the ultimate backlash, but it happened daily through skirmishes with local law enforcement. It continues today as students continue, often jeopardizing their own safety, through protests against war and other government decisions. Witness the clarion call of Iranian students and the violence against them after protesting the needless death of a young woman in police custody. The older I get, the more I believe that the world's youth will continue to be our collective conscience.

Today, the problem of innocent people being harmed by widespread political mishaps is still very much present. Even though it shouldn't, there is still an inadequate management system in place.

This is true. When I hear of a student's death, it's an emotional time for me. I can't help but think about all the great plans and possibilities that is just no more.
So yeah, that scene evoke that.

I agree with your statement. The student's life is greatly determined and influenced by the war.

I agree that students are the one that is mostly affected by the decision made by the government, even in the case of a lockdown, some students may be killed in the process of protesting and for some students, the term at which they are to graduate from school will increase.

Very true. But when governments declare war or lockdowns, or when there are strikes, students are not the only affected party but some of government operations are crippled. Students, however, tend to find themselves at odds with the more powerful governments due to their (students) impatience and irrational thinking.

I believe that governments should invest more in youths seeing as they are the future instead of letting them always get the back end of everything.

This is true. Especially in developing countries government actions are always detrimental to student life and destiny.

I agree with you. Students seem to be at the receiving end of everything the government does wrong. From insecurity to corruption, it affects them. Because why do most serial killers shoot at schools?

Yes, I agree with you. Whatever is done by the government affects students greatly, be it war or economic inflation. The students are greatly affected.
