The most profound theme that guides the flow of the plot is corruption and police brutality but other themes like determination and love stood out as well.

Police violence and discrimination, in my opinion, are the book's main themes.

The theme I came across most often while I read the book was police brutality. There was violence, war, and racism, and there were also positive themes like determination and need for change.

The book featured a lot of themes like: love, women's right etc. But among these, racism and police brutality was it for me

Women's rights are among the most relatable topics for me as a woman. It becomes even more real to me because I have a teenage daughter who will soon have to deal with all of that.

While reading this book, I became upset at times. Despite the war and violence, Steve remained convinced that the best way to defeat the force was from within. He would not have succeeded and might have died if it hadn't been for the FBI. I was disappointed in the kinds of decisions he made.

Violence by the police affects me differently. In practically every country in the world, but especially in developing ones, this occurs. Much like it is in the book, it is mostly aimed for students.

A wide range of topics was discussed here. From love to loyalty, to sacrifice, to politics, and a lot more. But the best part for me is Love, Loyalty and sacrifice.
