I honestly don't think that children should be involved in war AT ALL. They are still developing, they are still learning and experiencing new things in their lives. They're also quick to absorb whatever they go through and that will reflect in their adulthood. If I had the power, I would keep children as far away from wars as possible.

Do you find reasons with the government for drafting young kids for war?
My answer is no. No reason can justify drafting kids for war.
If you had the power, would you end this menace? Yes, if I had the power, I'll stop this right away.

It feels like there is an awful lot of young adult literature that glorifies kids/youth fighting (and dying) for not only causes they believe in, but even in fights someone else selected them for. The most obvious example in my mind is "The Hunger Games" because of its popularity and cultural impact. In practice, I agree that it's an awful idea to consider kids being ordered to fight in wars, but I also see the points being made here about cultural acceptance of various ages as "adult" and would even add in the idea that brain biology is still advancing so we don't even really know when the brain is fully mature to make the decisions we are asking young people to make.

War is horrible, and I hate that governments draft kids for war. The greed and corruption and reasons we fight wars over are horrible. But even without the draft, as long as kids feel they have no future, they will go into the military without understanding the consequences.

There is no reason to consider this idea. This almost feels inhuman to send little ones out to protect the adults. Animals don't even do this, they love and protect their children. Why shouldn't we be different?

I think drafting kids for war is not acceptable and yes if I have the powers, I would change that. I think it changes the mindset of the kids as they are introduced to killing St an early age which in my opinion builds up a mindset difficult to change in their adult years.

In my opinion it depends on the force of the country. If they have less people then the war will inevitably come to kids. So it's better they fight and lose then die without fighting.

Most citizens do not want war as it is costly. Lives are lost and the economy goes down. But who will a nation, it has to be the citizens.

Kids should NEVER be involved in war or used as a tool. Kids are just Kids and shouldn't be exposed to anything violent because they are just growing up and their mindset is just being formed

That is wrong on many levels. If I had the power, I will surely end the menace. It is just not worth it at all. Kids should not fight for adults. That us wrong.

There is absolutely no reason for why a government has to draft kids for war. These are kids we are talking about. What do they know? That is so wrong.

There is no justifiable reason for exposing kids to such trauma and I personally find it inhumane and something I would make sure definitely comes to an end.

As someone who is still teenager, the idea that kids my age can be drafted into war and killed terrifies me. No child should be faced with having to make a choice between his family and fighting for their country.

Children should be the last people on Earth to be considered for fighting in a war. Given how a war affects and traumatises adults for the rest of their lives, children are even more sensitive who shouldn't suffer for someone else's mistakes. If i had the power to stop this menace..i would also not let a war happen in the first place.

I cannot imagine any situation or circumstance that would warrant drafting kids to war and exposing them to such drama or arriving them of their innocent. There is absolutely no justification for it.
