The book was very emotional. Although I've read other accounts of the Vietnam War, this one focused on the local area. It helped me relate to a book about the conflict that took place in my own nation.

I'm an emotional person, so reading a book about war is not something I do lightly, especially a book regarding war casualties, I feel compassion,  especially for the children and students. I had to control my feelings while waiting for the satisfying conclusion.

I have a lot of compassion for war victims. especially the children and students. The emotional kind that I am, reading a novel about war is not something I take lightly. I had to suppress my feelings in order to perceive the good outcome.

My heart broke for the war casualties. particularly the students and children who were both physically and mentally harmed. The reader may experience emotions after reading a novel like this. The book's events are brought to life for the reader through the author's distinctive writing style. I had to read the book through while trying to contain my feelings.

I heard about the Vietnam war do many times, but I must say that this book was an eye opener on what the war really looked like.

I felt sympathy for the victims of the war. The book made me feel emotional and at some point I really wish there could be a better way to resolve issues other than war.

I felt many emotions while reading this book. I felt really bad for the children as they were innocent and should not be going through something traumatic.

It was painful. Although I've read other accounts of the Vietnam War, this one focused on the local area. It helped me relate to a book about the conflict that took place in my own nation.

The emotion that war evokes from me is anger. I feel angry at the people responsible for the war. I feel the rage that Roxy and the others felt that made them take to the streets to protest in the first place. It really is annoying that people are sent out to die because of war.
