A one-man squad requires much effort, and it can be strenuous. The system might even change the one-man mentality, and he'd become corrupt even before positively changing the system. Playing lone ranger is not easy, but with the right tactics, things will change positively with time.

I'm too pessimistic to believe that one person can change an entire corrupt organization, but I do think it's worth trying in some situations. I believe our actions do matter and can make a difference, but I think widespread corruption like the book describes takes more than just one person to dismantle.
I agree with you here. The scale on which the corruption ranged in the book was way bigger than Steve could be expected to handle on his own, as I imagine would be the case in real life. And remember, he was just a rookie officer.

A single person might not be able to, but might spark conversations that would.

Although one person cannot eradicate corruption inside an organization, their efforts may inspire others to band together and do so.

I don't think a single person can stop the corruption in an organisation, but I think their actions will go a long way .

I don't think the solution is just to leave. It is a difficult task, but one person can make a lot of difference in the fight against corruption. However, I don't think it's something one person will do alone. Mind you, Steve didn't do it alone. He had help from people carelessly dropping bits of information, and he had that journalist guy to publish the news, and his former professor, if I remember correctly. So, yes, one person can make a lot of difference, but they'll need indirect and direct assistance to really make a difference.

I think it's possible. It'll take dedication but one of my favorite quotes is "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." It may not be easy or quick but I think it's doable.

I don't think a person can absolutely remove corruption, I also don't think that person should leave. It's better if he stays at least reducing the amount of corruption.

No, I do not think a single person can stop corruption, especially on a massive scale like the police force. One can only spark change into others by being the change themselves.

I do not think a single person can stop corruption. I believe that corruption can be eradicated by the majority.

Definitely not! A single person can only do so much, everyone has their limits and if just that person plans to change the world, it’s easy to get exhausted. We fight and try to do more when we have people supporting and backing us up. Steve tried his best but in the end or close to it, we could see he got exhausted

Though, hard, it’s possible. But it will take a lot of work, courage, smart tactics, and support from people. Even if they won’t partake in the whole fight, the support should be there.

Absolutely not. It takes collective effort to effect change in an organization. One man, especially in a lower rank, is very limited in what he can achieve, if he can achieve anything at all. Corruption begins with those in charge of the overall running of the organization.

I do believe that a single person can stop corruption and change the system but is it really a single person in the people who follow him and are influenced by him are also struggling to stop the corruption.

I disagree, if it happens it may be temporary. Unless said person stands at the top. In my opinion
