Roxy's mother was my favourite. For such a tiny character, she had a lot of presence and lingered in my memory the longest. I wish she had been given a few more scenes because I love chaos.

Steve was my favourite character. Even though he went through lots of troubles and discrimination in the force he made sure he contributed to making a change in the corruption level in the force in his own way.

I really like the cop, Crowley. I understand that he was kind of lazy and not really devoted to his job, but he was not corrupted like other cops, and none of the innocent people were afraid of him due to his friendly nature.

Steve was my rite character from the book. I love his determination to join the police force. I also love Roxy. In fact, all the characters in this book added to my satisfaction with the book.

That would be Steve. I like him because he was ready to sacrifice his dream to save his city. That's a big decision. And he is mature enough to understand that his relationship with Roxy is slipping away and that he must not be a danger to his friends. He keeps some things to himself to protect her.

Steve. This college student teaches me a lot about persistence and determination. He demonstrates that the best way to bring change is by getting involved. Having forgone law for providence police is a great sacrifice. There is much to learn from him.

Steve was definitely my favourite character. He was brave to work in the police department just to change the system. He fearlessly stood for what he believed in; his course to expose the rot in the police department. Even when the odds were against him, he was resilient. His friends and even girlfriend alienated him, but he still soldiered on. Above all, may we never forget that he sacrificed law school, and the comfortable life he would have gained from it, to become a police officer. All in the name of the greater good. Steve is my hero.

I liked Steve because he was an honest man both at work and with his relationship with Roxy. He put others first before himself. That, is a good character to emulate

Everyone or almost everyone here agrees that Steve is their favorite character. He is mine too. Before I got to read the book, I already knew about Steve and his character piqued my interest. I liked his drive for change.

I rarely like the main character, but it was a big surprise to me how much I loved Steve. As I mentioned in my review, it's difficult for authors to paint righteous characters in a way that gets the audience to connect with them, but Rush did this superbly. I felt Steve's pain and cheered for him as he struggled to effect change and I really felt proud of his development. His perseverance and never-ending determination felt inspiring rather than patronising, so to me, he stood out the most.

It's definitely Steve for me. He wanted to set things right and was determined in his conviction despite the lack of support from his friends and girlfriend.

Steve did it for me. I saw myself in his character. I always advocate for a change in any corrupt system I become a part of or am directly or indirectly affected by. So, yes, I love the same qualities about Steve.
