Yes at some point, he even serves as a backup for Tommy in a restaurant when he delivered some drugs to his client, and most times he found his friends and Roxy taking weed but he could not do anything.

Steve, in my opinion, was a hypocrite since he merely wished to blend in with his friends. He appeared to be uncomfortable with what his buddies were doing, but he also appeared to be terrified of losing them. He was only human, just like everyone else, and could not accomplish everything flawlessly.

I don't believe he was a hypocrite. His mode of operation is to fight what brings harm to others. He was only human, like everyone else, and could not do everything perfectly.

I agree with you, in some situations, Steve was a hypocrite and I think that is normal for humans, most times it is impossible to be perfect in every aspect of our lives.

No question that he is a hypocrite, especially in his drug dealing brother case where he chooses to ignore and also how he even actively works to ensure he isn't caught. But I suppose it is not just white and black like that for him as most people will do the same thing, sometimes even worse for loved ones.

If what he did was not hypocrisy, then I don't know what is. Steve was a hypocrite. I wondered how he slept at night. It was dishonest of him to claim to fight evil while also encouraging it himself.

Steve is not a hypocrite. He just acts like any other person acts on normal occasions. He was not against drug users, he was against excess force being used on petty crime cases.

No, Steve is not a hypocrite. He just acted how everyone will act in such a situation. He could be hypocritical if he was brutal to offenders and then stand against it while other cops behave the same.

Steve struck me as a bit of a hypocrite. He had consistently kept his eyes closed to his friend's wrongdoing. He was afraid that imposing would simply make them feel uneasy around him and that he would eventually lose them.

That is clearly hypocritical of Steve and there is no excuse to be made for his actions.

I don't think Steve was a hypocrite. He needed to play his cards right so that his mission will be successful. This means, doing what other police officers expected at times to clear doubt.

Indeed as an officer of the law he is expected to be held to much higher standards than the average citizen and this entails setting an example for the others. I do agree that his habit of looking away as regards drugs and Roxy was a bit hypocritical.

Yes, I believe so. He lets his loved ones get away with crime. He couldn't subdue his human nature.

Of course, in the case of Steve, as an officer of the law, he is expected to set an example for the average citizen, and this entails setting an example for others. I do agree that his habit of looking away as regards drugs and Roxy was sentimental.

Most times, human beings can be controlled by their emotions. It is evident that he isn't comfortable with their lifestyle, but then, he couldn't just turn a blind eye when his friends are in trouble.
