Did the adult scenes in "Wild World" bother you?

Post by CandyCandy »

Is it just me, or did the adult scenes in Wild World seem over-used? It was really getting disturbing at some point even if the world was really like that back then, but did I have to know in detail?

I too felt like the adult scenes were a bit out of place but I'm guessing it was author's ploy to 'lighten the mood' though it didn't work that well.

For me, they did not bother me. But there were some scenes that the author did not have to go into details as to some extent they were uncomfortable to read, mostly the sexual scenes.

I agree. I don't think they were necessary, at least in such amount.

You are not alone, it got annoying quickly. It also seems like that was the only thing that kept their relationship going. And they were always making love", it was exhausting to read

I absolutely the development of scenes and incidents in Wild World. The genre and plot of this book calls for a mature audience and unless profanity offends you then you'll enjoy this book as well!

I don't think its disturbing because most couple really do that and that's normal. The thing that makes me uncomfortable while reading this book is how the author describes the erotic scenes of the main characters with other characters.

The adult scenes didn't bother me at all. I loved the descriptive ability of the author in that aspect. I was able to visualize their way of life on the sexual part. They added some beauty to the book too.

With the themes endorsed in Wild World, I definitely found the detailed adult scenes unnecessary. It certainly could have been written without the whole going into details and side tracking the important themes.

I do not think so. It did not bother me at all. Granted, I am not a big fan of adult scenes in books and I contemplated skipping the ones in this book. I read it anyways, but I found out that it did not bother me at all.

For me it's ok, the author tries to expand his explanation. But for others, it may be burdensome. I enjoyed the book. I did not see anything wrong with the adult scenes.

No, the adult scenes in Wild World did not bother me. I will not say I like them, because I did not care much about them. But, I did not dislike them either.

Sincerely, I am not bothered about the adult scenes in the book. Apart from the fact that the book isn't a children's book, I felt Peter wanted readers to be enmeshed in the book with the details. From character description and plot development, Peter gave detail about almost everything.

The scenes didn't bother me at all as I found them very necessary. Also,we are not sure what the world was like back then so, finding a very detailed description of the world in 1970 is very fascinating.
