I am always for more background for characters. If they're important enough to have a name, then I think they're important enough to have a story.

I think the author did the right thing to focus on his main theme and keep the book from being too much long. I was able to see Patsy's personality throughout her suffering, Linda's too in the way she took care of her.

I wished Ron Tripodo had spoken more about Patsy's life and relationships before the illness and how they changed after the illness. I also felt that his descriptions of Linda were kind, but did not reflect the enormous sacrifice that she made to care for Patsy. One way to honor this sacrifice would be to describe her personality, thoughts, and feelings while she was caring for Patsy.
I think i totally agree with you. However on a second thought, it could also make the book wordy and excesively detailed. I love the book the way it is.
Wordy book scare lots of people, myself included 😂😂😂

I am interested in knowing more about Patsy before her illness. Perhaps, a part 2 of the book might capture that. It’ll calm the mind of readers a bit, except her past is dark and uninspiring.

I believe Ron did not really show the enormous sacrifice she made. It's not easy to take care of another. And she did so for Patsy effortlessly. Maybe more could have been said about her personality too. I quite agree with you.

Just like the person above me has said, the few information about Patsy and Linda is detailed enough to be understood by the readers. Excessive information might make it bulky.

Yes, I agree too. Ron should have talked about patsy's personality before the sickness. life most time is about communication which will help others to know more about who you are. linda should have received more accolades than what was given to her because her effort in patsy's life was not a small thing.

I wish the book has details of Patsy's life before the illness. It could have helped me determine if Ron was returning a favor by being caring or that was just his nature.

I don't know much about party's life before the illness and I thought it would have been nice if run had talked more about her before theor relationship and the illness.

Well I don't know too much about pasty,a life before her relationship with ron and the illness. though it would have made the book a little bit over detailed, it would have also been good if ron had included it.

I also feel that even though Ron did not go into much detail about Linda's and Patsy's life regarding their relationship before the illness, the book still covers the more pertinent parts for one to get the gist of what they went through because of Patsy's illness.

I did not think there is anything more to know. about Patsy, Ron tripod, and Linda. The characters were well-developed in the book. I read the book and gave it four stars.

I’ll say you are right. But it will take the mystery and suspense out of the whole. It might make it more bulky too. It’s okay the way it is.

I think you have a point. But IMO the main idea of the book has been to highlight the connection between the author and Linda, the sacrifices they made for each other, their romance, and the loss. Including details about the other characters would have been a distraction.

Yes definitely, It would have been nice to know Patsy as an individual, rather than someone who becomes gravel ill. Now, we only get to see her as a person who is felt sorry for, rather than someone who has her own identity, her personality and such.
