How many

Just wondering how many of us came from or are in blue-collar families. I was raised in a construction family (3 generations) and married a union worker.

I was not raised in a blue collar family. Both of my parents are college educated and worked in their field of study. My grandparents were blue collar except for one grandma who was a teacher.

I was not raised in a blue collar family, but my husband was and currently works in a career which does not require a college degree. Additionally, my father, who has a degree in structural engineering, started a construction company and now has learned many of the technical blue collar skills of plumbing/electrical/framing etc. I have great respect for blue collar workers and careers!

My parents and grandparents were white collar workers. Then two generations before them my family were predominately farmers. Then going backwards from there my ancestors were hunter-gatherers.

My parents were white-collar workers and I couldn't have done otherwise. A career in education was my only dream. I still do not regret it!

Both of my parents were blue collar in the sense of not going to uni. My dad was an electrician who worked himself up to a manager working in the offices, and my mum moved from a temporary Christmas job in a supermarket to becoming the PA to the store manager and working up in the PA role in other organisations. Both have completed degrees in their lifetime but only alongside work. However, I am a uni graduate whereas my husband isn’t and works in construction.

I was raised in a blue-collar family. My grandfather was a self-employed painter/wallpaper, and my mom was a waitress. My ex-husband was a long-haul truck driver.

I was not raised in a blue collar household, but my grandparents and the rest of my family are all blue-collar workers. I also married a blue-collar worker, so this book definitely hits close to home and is very relatable to me.

My parents were both white-collar workers. My grandfather was a blue-collar worker on my dad's side. My other grandfather was a white-collar worker. My grandmothers were both homemakers.

My whole family worked in the blue-collar sector. My father worked in construction, my uncles worked in the market, my mom was a domestic helper, and my grandfather and grandmother farmed. They worked hard and long, and my siblings and I are the beneficiaries of the fruits of their labor. We attended a college.

I've always admired people that have blue-collar work because their skills come in handy more often than not. You need a lot of skills to be able to fix your leaking pipes or do internal wiring.
Even though my parents are both University graduates, my dad will always try to fix things himself.
