I would have starved on her diet in her residence to begin with, but when she moved "uptown", the meals sounded pretty good to me. Chicken Piccato, mmmm!

I think that I might have starved if I had lived in Kim's first place. Kale, tofu, yuck! But after she moved "uptown" the meals were quite appetizing sounding. Those, I would have been fine with, but the strings attached would not have worked for me.

Haha I was thinking the exact same thing. Definitely would be a good diet plan!

Although I like kale, it seemed like there wasn’t much variety in what she ate. It seemed so restricted and unappetizing!

I am sure the author went out of his way to describe it as bland as possible, which, unfortunately, fuels the stereotypes surrounding healthy food being horrible. I am sure it was not as bad as it sounded.

Kim's diet sounded like a punishment. I would not be able to survive if I was made to survive on only spelt, tofu, kale, quinoa, lentils, boiled synchicken. However healthy it is, it still sounds terrible.

I was thinking about this while I was reading, everything seemed like some healthy food fad taken too far. It actually made me think, with A.I.s controlling everything I can only imagine the food to be bland, and then I also thought there maybe a food shortage of sorts that they have to rely on these types of food to sustain the human population.

I don't think I could live on her diet. It sounds so bland and unpleasant! I would much prefer some variety and colours other than brown and green lol.

While I'm a fan of quinoa and kale, everything else sounds pretty bland and gross.

It doesn't sound appealing to me. I don't think I would have managed for a long time.
I think they tried to depict healthy food and healthy living, but the food is way too bland.

Most of the time it didn't sound very appetizing. I liked the little fights she would have with the fridge though and how it could get mad at her. Right after she accepted the new position, that food sounded good. I liked the fact that she wanted chocolate ice cream, and BAM, there it is! haha

I would have had a harder time with the cold showers than I would have with the bland food. Awful, but I prefer boiled food over cold showers. That being said, no idea what spelt is.

It sounded quite healthy, but rather bland. Seasoning is definitely required. I can understand why Kim didn't have a great relationship with her refrigerator lol.

Thinking about this in comparison to society in the USA today, I almost see this aspect as a good thing, the majority seem to have access to affordable healthy food. However, I feel like you have to apply the thinking that 'people won't even realize what they're missing when it comes to junk food because they wouldn't have access to it in the first place.'

Personally, I don't think I could do this. I take full advantage of the 80/20 rule when it comes to my eating habits - hamburgers, steak, pizza, etc. :)

No I can't live on Kim's diet at all. It sounds terrible even though they seem to be healthy. I'd sure be classified as a foodie if I was in Kim's world. And it was fun to see the banter between fridge and Kim and how she always got defeated by her fridge.

Well, I guess it would have been beneficial for weight loss. Because I would not have eaten much of it!
