I have both, a Kindle and a Nook. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I love being able to buy a new book at 1:00 in the morning. I love being able to scroll through all of those titles. I love curling up in bed with a small ereader instead of a hugh book. The fact that you can read in the dark with no lamp on, even better. That was one of my husbonds biggest complaints. When it comes to reading to my grandson, however I want him to be able to hold a book. So that he can turn pages, touch and feel without it turning the page of my reader. He can flip around in a book if he wants to. Also its important for him to learn how to take care of a book. Not to tear pages or get pages dirty. I dont think you can go wrong with buying an ereader. If nothing else its an excellent sourse of free books.

I have the keyboard kindle and I love it. I don't mind that it doesn't have easy access to the internet, because when I read a book I don't want to be distracted by Facebook or other online social sites.

I own a kindle and to say that I love it would be an understatement! I have a ton of books on there as well as toddler games for my child! Even though I own this wonderful piece of technology I still buy some hardback or paperback books.

I indeed do have a Kindle. The kindle in my opinion is way better than the nook for reasons like a much larger library, and there library is an open forum witch means that you can send in your book even if you are not a big writer and have it published by amazon. witch allows you to earn a bit of money or just have your book out there for free. :D

I have a kindle e reader.

I absolutely love reading on it and dont miss paperback books at all. The kindle is so light and easy to hold. With books I found that they are sometimes so heavy that I have to use both hands to hold them. What I love about the kindle is that I can hold in one hand and have all my books on it. I hope this helps.

My brother had gotten both my mom and me the Kindle touch a few years ago for Christmas. She uses hers all the time, whereas mine is barely used. I love the idea of always having all my books in one easy reader, but I think I like having a physical copy more.

I have a kindle paper white and I love it! Hubby got me one and while I was "but it's not the same as book" trip at first, I have to say now that I couldn't imagine not having it. Plus it's a great way to discover new rising talent for free, and everyone loves free stuff.

For those of us who are not getting any younger the Kindle is great because you can increase the font size and not strain to see the very little words even with my glasses on. I also love that if I finish a book away from home I can immediately start on the next one.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite. I am not the most tech savvy person so there are many features I have yet to learn. I recently purchased the Paperwhite to replace my older Keyboard. The Keyboard model seems more straight forward as far as operations and functions are concerned, but I like the Paperwhite's compact size. I also love the fact that I can read in a dark room so I don't have to wake my husband up by turning on the light to read in bed at night when I'm unable to sleep.

Sure, the Paperwhite is fine. It seems confusing, but are basically three different kinds of Kindles:

The Paperwhite. This is an e-reader with a 6" illuminated display. You can get it with or without 3G. It has a touch screen.

The Kindle 6" E Ink Display. This is also an e-reader. It is quite a bit simpler than the Paperwhite. Instead of a touch screen, there are buttons at the bottom that allow you to navigate and operate the device.

The Kindle Fire. There are a few different variations of this. It's not just an e-reader, it's a tablet. You can do a lot more with this. It's also bigger and heavier than the simple e-readers. You can get the Fire with a 7" and 8.9" display.
[Insert quote here. Read. Raise an eyebrow. Be mildly amused. Rinse & repeat.]
