Re: Problem: Kindle App won't open .mobi file (Solved)
@"Sarah Tariq" This topic is for help opening mobi files, not for help downloading books directly from Amazon. For your issue, you need to submit an error report through the Review Team Page. It sounds like you selected a book that had special requirements in the description that you don't meet, so you won't be able to review that book.Sarah Tariq wrote:I am unable to download book"roadmap to the end of days" which tab should be used to download the book. I have kindle app .Secondly, i can make Twitter account but the other restriction by amazon is difficult. Help to solve my problem
@proofreader Why won't the Kindle App let you create an account? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?proofreader wrote:I tried downloading the book but I was unable to do so because kindle app never allowed me register an account.

I'm new here and have been searching for the better part of an hour for the answer and haven't found it yet, so I thought I would try posting here. If this is answered elsewhere, could someone please point me to it?
I live in a very rural area and have to depend on satellite internet service and despite what those commercials on TV try to tell you, it's barely better than dial-up. The result is that I cannot download large files to my computer (like the kindle reading app) without it freezing up my internet forever and using all my data for the month. So my question is as follows: Is it possible to download the books directly to my kindle paperwhite without first having to download to my computer? If not, I don't think I'll be able to be a reviewer, which is a big bummer.
Thank you!
Melynn
Did you try the solution above? Which one(s)--Option 1, Option 2, or Option 3?--No because as previously mentioned downloading large files like the reader app is problematic.
Do you get some kind of specific error message? What does it say exactly? No.
What device are you using? Viewing the website on my PC, but need to be able to read the books on my Kindle Paperwhite
Have you ever been able to open a mobi file in the Kindle App on that device? No, because I cannot download the reading app

@Melynn Yes, you should adjust your preferences so that only the Kindle Gift option is selected. I'd also suggest looking into getting a Kindle Unlimited trial. Those two formats are delivered directly from Amazon to your Kindle account, so you don't need to download them to your computer at all.Melynn wrote:Hello,
