@"Sarah Tariq" This topic is for help opening mobi files, not for help downloading books directly from Amazon. For your issue, you need to submit an error report through the Review Team Page. It sounds like you selected a book that had special requirements in the description that you don't meet, so you won't be able to review that book.

@proofreader Why won't the Kindle App let you create an account? Do you get an error message? If so, what does it say?

I'm new here so hello! After struggling for a minute getting a .mobi file to move from my computer to my Kindle Paperwhite, I've found that Scott's option 3 worked like a charm. I have a Chromebook and it was good. Thanks for the advice! Now I can start reviewing.

Hello,
I'm new here and have been searching for the better part of an hour for the answer and haven't found it yet, so I thought I would try posting here. If this is answered elsewhere, could someone please point me to it?

I live in a very rural area and have to depend on satellite internet service and despite what those commercials on TV try to tell you, it's barely better than dial-up. The result is that I cannot download large files to my computer (like the kindle reading app) without it freezing up my internet forever and using all my data for the month. So my question is as follows: Is it possible to download the books directly to my kindle paperwhite without first having to download to my computer? If not, I don't think I'll be able to be a reviewer, which is a big bummer.

Thank you!
Melynn

Did you try the solution above? Which one(s)--Option 1, Option 2, or Option 3?--No because as previously mentioned downloading large files like the reader app is problematic.
Do you get some kind of specific error message? What does it say exactly? No.
What device are you using? Viewing the website on my PC, but need to be able to read the books on my Kindle Paperwhite
Have you ever been able to open a mobi file in the Kindle App on that device? No, because I cannot download the reading app

I have submitted my review and received an email that it was accepted but on my first attempted it was rejected. Now my status for that book still remains rejected, why so? I can't even select a new book.
Kindly assist!

I've tried severally to download the book "Health Tips, Myths, and Tricks" by Morton E Tavel, MD on my device but kept receiving error messages: unsuccessful/failed download. I've used pdf reader app, ereader prestigio app; kindle from Amazon is not available in my country. I also tried using laptop but the website didn't open.
What else can I do to download this file?

Hi there. I have also beenjoy experiencing issues with my first book review in terms of getting the file to open. Is Kindle the only application that can make opening the book files possible on a smartphone.

@Melynn Yes, you should adjust your preferences so that only the Kindle Gift option is selected. I'd also suggest looking into getting a Kindle Unlimited trial. Those two formats are delivered directly from Amazon to your Kindle account, so you don't need to download them to your computer at all.
