Problem: Kindle App won't open .mobi file (Solved)

I can’t download the book I am trying to review. I clicked on the link that is supposed to take me to amazon to download the book using an Amazon Gift Certificate but when I get there is says “We're having trouble locating your redemption.” Then I tried clicking the other link to use the gift code to redeem my book but that doesn’t work either. I have gotten multiple books using the free amazon kindle app and it has never given me this problem before.
The book that isn’t working is “Thuroks: Union with Immortality.”

I tried downloading the book “Imar’s daughters” but I keep receiving the error message: This ebook cannot be redeemed by customers in your country. I use an iPhone and I have downloaded a book on this device before.

It took me a while to figure out on Apple devices so I thought I would share what I’ve discovered. Once the .mobi file is downloaded, click the share button and then choose the Kindle app. Then go to the Kindle app In the “ALL” category. From there you can download to the Kindle.

I have downloaded books on my iPhone before and never had an issue. I could not download Geraldine. The share option led to a message saying "not available for download." My computer died so that isn't currently an option. I finally decided to try my kindle and that worked.

I have reported via Update tab. I also contacted Amazon and they said the amazon gift code number is not correct.

I tried downloading the book, but the error said there is no app to open mobi format but i already have kindle on my smartphone. Also, this first time I am using mobi format.


For PC, I emailed the book to myself, then tried to open it in my PC, but it won't even work there. It showed some computer language or some coding I didn't understand.

Hi, I am unable to open this .mobi file on my Asus zenfone phone. I do not have a laptop or computer to transfer the files and open them in the books folder of the kindle app. If all your books are in this same format then, it would be a big problem for us, readers, to even go through even the initial stage of your whole process of the Review Team Process. I am sorry, to say I have to quit if you can't even provide a readable format for the readers to read. I have a kindle unlimited plan and am reading books daily.
