I've seen even comedians get trashed for using coffins as props and I get that people are sensitive, but I'd do it too if I had to.

Initially, I do believe I could hide in a coffin if it is a matter of life or death. However, I would be hard-pressed to stay there for very long. I am afraid of close quarters.

If it means my life, I will very likely do so. It is not only the creepiness that bothers me. What concerns me is whether it is sanitary enough after previously housing a dead body.

Like others in this forum, I don't think I could hide in a coffin. Just the thought of being in that tight space, in the dark and being out of breath. And if we add to that the 'creepiness' of it.

I don't think so. The very thought on it feels scary and claustrophobic. But with the situation in the book, I might have to save myself first and think about the trauma later.

Most definitely not! I'm far too claustrophobic for that! I can't even stand to be in an elevator that has no windows. I'd rather take the stairs! So hiding in a coffin is a hard pass for me. I got anxiety reading this.

I have a phobia of coffins, and I don't think I would ever willingly enter one (alive, at least). However, I don't know how I would react in an extreme situation that would depend on my hiding in a coffin—probably a little bit, that's right—but desperate situations always call for desperate measures, and if I felt in danger of death, I really don't know if I would think twice before saving myself.

I don't think I would willingly hide in a coffin unless it involved a life-and-death situation. When I am going into a coffin to save my life, I will make sure the person I trust to bring me out is close by.

I have a fear of enclosed spaces but if my depended on it, I could definitely hide in a coffin. It’s either that or die.

I think I could if the benefits or the conditions are worth it. Anything other than this is a No for me.

As someone who has always struggled with claustrophobia, it would have to be a matter of CERTAIN life or death for me to ever think about hiding in a coffin. Even then, it would have to be the last possible option! I cannot imagine hiding in a coffin all day like Jarla and 'Fionella', ESPECIALLY with the lid screwed on! Whew.

As long as I am not locked from the outside or burried, I would feel quite okay with it. No one knows what one can do for survival when it comes to the worst.

Yes, I could hide in a coffin. That's the final bed space of all human right? It would be thrilling though. Hahaha.

Depending on the circumstance or situation I would definitely consider hiding in a coffin. If it was to evade danger or people seeking to hurt me or bring me harm then I would consider hiding there as it would rarely cross their mind to check in a coffin.

Even though it's scary (I might suffocate!), it all depends with the circumstances and the reason why I need to hide in the coffin.
