My strategy is that when I have a goal to achieve, and I find myself considering why the goal can't be met, I recognize that I'm being overly reasonable about what is possible and that I've limited myself by doing that. Sometimes, to achieve something, I have to be utterly unreasonable about getting it done and not let my usual considerations get in my way. Sure, be logical. But don't be reasonable. If you think you can or you think you can't - you're probably right!

Here are some strategies that I researched that can help you step out of your comfort zone and confront your fears:
Start small: Begin with small steps that make you feel slightly uncomfortable but not overwhelmingly so. For example, if you're afraid of public speaking, start by giving a short presentation to a small group of friends or colleagues.
Focus on the benefits: Instead of dwelling on the potential negative outcomes, focus on the benefits of stepping out of your comfort zone. What new experiences or opportunities might arise from taking this risk?
Cultivate self-compassion: Be kind to yourself throughout the process, and don't beat yourself up if you don't succeed immediately. Remember that growth takes time and effort.
Seek support: Enlist the help of friends, family members, or a therapist to provide encouragement and support as you confront your fears.
Practice mindfulness: Engage in mindfulness practices like meditation or deep breathing exercises to help you stay present and centered in the face of discomfort.
Reframe your mindset: Instead of viewing discomfort as a negative experience, reframe your mindset to see it as an opportunity for growth and learning.
Overall, stepping out of your comfort zone and confronting your fears can be a challenging but rewarding experience. By embracing discomfort and vulnerability, you can cultivate greater resilience, confidence, and personal growth.

I recently got the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and explore. It was very scary, and it took time to get used to, but I'm glad I did it because it gave me some clarity that I desperately needed. Having encouraging friends and mentors also helps by leaps and bounds.
