We have this dish where I come from, it’s an Arab dish, and it’s basically meatballs cooked in cherry jam. I know it’s sounds like a very strange combination, but it’s so so so good!
We usually eat it with bread and it’s like having the best of two words, sweet and savory!

As a university student on a budget, I've definitely ventured into some unconventional food combinations. One that has raised eyebrows is my love for onion sandwiches—just bread and onions. It was weird for me at first but I've actually grown to enjoy it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Pawpaw with lemon juice squeezed on top. Don't know if that's weird but I love it.

I am a big fan of bacon and chocolate. Honestly, just about anything with chocolate does the trick for me. I also really enjoy apples dipped in peanut butter. I suppose those food combinations are more conventional... Fried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are pretty delicious as well!

Miine is a local food(lol) Cooked cassava flour with Cornsyrup(lols). Many find it absurd but the taste is heavenly.

Alida Spies wrote: 11 Jun 2023, 11:13 I love banana and honey sandwiches, and cheese and honey on my French toast. My husband thinks it's weird, but then he loves dried mopane worms and that for me is very weird! I'm quite an adventurous eater, especially with seafood. I'll eat anything that comes out of the sea, perhaps only once if I don't like it, but I'd be willing to try it. Creepy crawlies on land not so much, although I do like snails. Crocodile steak is also quite nice if it's prepared properly, otherwise, it can be very tough.
Yoh!!! How do mopane worms taste? Aii I have had people talk about them but haven't tried them. Crocodile steak?! Okay i am certain now that you like strange foods :lol2: but to each their own i guess.

Oh, I totally get you! Food combinations can be quite subjective, and what some people find delicious, others might consider strange or even disgusting. It's all about personal taste and individual preferences.
I will try your combo and maybe come back to give my opinion

I can absolutely eat anything alongside peanut butter. I guess that should count for something. My siblings make jokes about that sometimes. I just like peanut butter.

In Indian cooking, I like to put cream (malai) in my sabzi (vegetable dish) and daal (lentil dish). It's not something everyone does, but I find that it makes the sabzi and daal creamier and less spicy. I personally love spicy food, but I can't have a sabzi or daal without a spoonful of cream in it. It's just my thing!

I don't think I like any weird food combinations. I have tried peanut butter and bananas together, and I must say, it tastes good.

There is very little food I don’t like. Two strange combos I enjoy. Marmite in a bacon sandwich. Using mayonnaise to fry chicken.

I would say pizza with watermelon. I really don't want to believe I do eat that.
