Reading for sure of course. Having a therapist really helps and medication. But getting a puppy has changed everything. I'm so much happier when even if I've had a hard sad night, my happy puppy is waiting for me just as happy as he always is.

When I feel depressed, I try to go out and feel the air. It soothes me. Or I read a book and try to watch a funny movie.

I must confess that I struggle to manage my emotions effectively. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I tend to shut down and occasionally behave rudely to those around me, despite their good intentions. I'm aware that this is not ideal, and I'm making a conscious effort to work on it. When I sense that I'm in a difficult emotional state, I try to distance myself from others so that I don't hurt them.

What works like a charm is thinking of people who are in a much more difficult and worse situation than me. It always helps.

First, I like to take a break and go for a walk or do some light exercise to clear my mind. Then, I might reach out to friends or family for support and talk about what's bothering me. Reading a good book or listening to music also helps me relax and improve my mood. Additionally, I find journaling to be therapeutic as it allows me to express my thoughts and feelings. These activities help me lighten up my mood and manage stress or depression.

When I feel depressed talking to someone and listening to music helps me cope.

Sometimes I just listen to music or just take a walk. I find that it often helps in boosting my spirits and mood. However, it's not easy to get out of a depressed state. Sometimes its better to just have a conversation with someone, it also helps with depression.

When I go through bad bouts of sadness/depression, I find that getting out of my house or current environment helps a lot. Whether it's going out for coffee or lunch with my friends or sleeping over at a friend's house for a night or two. I more times than not feel refreshed and lighter.

Dealing and facing with the things you're depressed with will help a lot. A person whom you can share your thoughts and clear all the cloud made in your head do ease off some depression feelings. For me, I try to remain calm and just sink it all the things happening around then let it out by sharing it and then make a decision on what to do about what I'm feeling.

It would depend on the cause of stress. Most times, not dwelling on it and letting it go are the only options. Although they seem difficult, it's not worth holding on to if it's causing unnecessary pain.

I guess my coping mechanism is to retreat. Mostly I do this by reading sometimes I just look for a good animation feature and watch that.

When I'm depressed I always tend to occupy my mind with things by engaging in a lot of physical activities that are positive and productive.

I try to listen to music and do something positive while I am depressed. It helps knowing that I can take my mind off things for a while.

When I feel stressed or depressed, I just wallow in that feeling for a while. After that, I listen to some music. Engaging oneself in a physical activity like sports and exercise can have positive effects. But, when I'm depressed or stressed, it is quite difficult for me to push myself to do that. Sometimes, I succeed in doing so. I play basketball. Meditation is also helpful during stressful periods.

Exercise. The most under used and under rated anti-depressant. Most times when I am really struggling, I haven't moved significantly in at least two weeks.
