I thought the exact same thing while reading this book. It may sound obvious, but young people don't realize how much words hurt. Mostly, however, they do not realize how much a kind gesture can affect those around them. We should all be kinder, and teaching this to teenagers is very important!

It would be good to read to teenagers. There are many things they can learn from the book that will guide them in their choices as they grow into becoming adults.

Teenagers are hungry to be adults. If you shield them from any mature content for too long, it ends up corrupting them a lot more once they get access to it. That being said, I believe this book would have a positive effect on teenagers. Many of them would actually relate with Allison, so I think it’s a good fit for them. It’s a yes.

This book is definately for high schoolers. It will help them process their emotions in a more proper manner instead of just lashing out.

I believe this book is suitable for a high school audience, as it addresses themes and content that align with their maturity level. It may contain some sexual themes but most teenagers in high school are already exposed to that. Also most teenagers in high school go through a lot of emotions and this book would let them know that it is not just them.

I am a staunch reader of classics but I feel that books like these are directly relatable to the students. Hence, they should be integrated into the curriculum.
