Authors often use mythological characters as a basis for creating modern characters by tapping into the timeless qualities and archetypes present in mythology. They may extract traits, dilemmas, or themes from myths and imbue them into contemporary characters, offering a sense of familiarity and resonance. This book will be an interesting read.

The concept of magic, reincarnation, romance and adventure is well captured in this book. The author took us back in the days when sorcerer's, druids, people with magic rule and control happenings in the universe.

I think the fact that the author used these mythes and mythical characters as a basis of her modern characters helps us connect with them.

The thing that stood out the most for me in this book was that it is a version of an Arthurian tale that completely ignores Arthur, which I thought was fantastic. I also loved the blend of the old and modern worlds
