Noting the spoiler alert, I will only comment that the ending of this enchanting story exceeded my expectations and, on reflection, it was very harmoniously connected to the story and the characters portrayed in this book. :)

Sincerely, I did not think that Nimue would return to the present after assuming the role of Merlina. Even the destruction of Camelot increased my strong believe. How the author worked around bringing her back shows a storytelling mastery that is uncommon.

The conclusion was fantastic, provided the impression that Nimue's acts had a deeper meaning than the original mythology suggested, and imparted me a calm sense that she has a bigger purpose and plenty of work ahead of her.
