I am confused as to the rating system. I received a response back that my review was mismatched because of the stars I used in the rating. Is the rating supposed to be out of 4 stars or out of 5 stars? Can you rate a book 4 out of 4 stars and then 4 out of 5 stars? For the body of the review, do I use the 5-star rating system? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks, but I think I am more confused than before. I am rating a book 4 out of 5 stars but also 3 out of 4 stars. Is that a violation?

No, it is not a violation. It makes perfect sense. :)
