Reporting Editors as rude

Post by Precious Anavheoba »

What happens when reviewers report editors as rude when they are not rude?

Can't they be directed to use the right channels if they want to appeal their score?

There's no space for editors to also defend themselves and proffer any explanation when they are wrongfully accused.

I suggest that the report rude editor tab be removed and there should only be a tab to appeal to editor and another to appeal to admin.

If the reviewer feels rudely addressed, he can appeal directly to the admin to look into the matter, instead of wrongfully accusing editors.

Thanks.

I think the admin recheck could be combined with other functions, such as the possibility to trace a scorecard back to an editor. This suggestion is already under consideration.

Moderators only issue "rude editor" warnings if the editors were actually rude. If a recheck is actually what's needed but the editor was polite, the reviewer is told this.
