Need to change email!
Apple offers a privacy and security feature that will use a secondary, made up email to protect my original email address from being shared by scammers.
Well, of course I’ve gone through the process and feel secure of this site, but have now come across a number of issues that may jeopardize my account.
It boils down to needing to be able to change the email from a duplicate account created when clicking on a verification link that was already sent. I see no option to do that on the duplicate account, and rather than risking my proper email address from being banned forever, I went ahead and deactivated the account instead of deleting it. My major concern is any red flag that may come up later on, even though you would be able to verify the timing and details I am providing.
I would greatly appreciate all direction as I would hate to miss the opportunity to be able to contribute to this community. Might there be a timeframe or an account age I would need to reach to be able to make those modifications?

Thank you for reaching out. I'm not sure I understand you correctly. Did you create an account using the alias email address and you now want to change the email address? Or did you create an account with both the alias email address and the real email address, meaning you now have two accounts?
Thank you.
Melissa.
