I did not understand every poem that was presented to me. While I got some instantly, others will take more time to understand fully

I knew going in that I was not going to understand every poem. Poems are like riddles to me so I had to re-read a couple of them to understand their meaning.

When I read the contents page I did have to look up the definition of what a redactive poem was and I also had to get a better understanding of what a calligram was. Once I did that I felt like I understood every poem in the book on some level.

The level of understanding required varies per poem but I would say with the proper concentration, the meanings would be discovered.
