I liked the photographs because they are integral to the author's communication as they complement the poems to convey a fuller message. This is a quality that makes the book have an appeal across a wider age bracket.

The book cover is very beautiful. It perfectly matches the book's name and justifies it. It's a perfect cover that complements the book's title.

I think the photographs make a great integration into the book. It's only fitting that a book titled Artwords is a book that is full of both words and art

I did not enjoy all the poem backgrounds. I'm into bright and colorful visuals, but some of the backgrounds were intentionally dull and washed out to give this colored pencil effect. Nonetheless, I appreciate the illustrators artistry.

A book's use of photos can significantly improve the reading experience for the reader, particularly when the book, like "Artwords," examines the relationship between language and art. The visual components can supplement the written content and add more context, giving readers a more thorough and immersive comprehension of the subject.

The photographed object poems are by far my favorites! I liked how the author selected each item and very intentionally placed them in the camera frame. Often times she duplicated the object and rotated it shrunk it as well so the images were dynamic and very visually interesting.
