Yes, I do like the photographs used in this book. Photographic memory always stays longer. It makes books more sound to read.

The photos in this book are nice, in my opinion. Invariably, photographic memory endures longer. It improves the readability of books.

The images highlighted the objects Robles wanted to display throughout the book since that was her main inspiration. I was astounded by the brilliant color scheme she chose to display the images in their glory. They brought the poems to life.

I agree that the pictures enhanced a fulfilling reading experience, RJ. It was almost as if the poems came alive when you read them inside the image. That is what captivated me the most about calligram.

I didn't get the chance to see the photographs yet, but I loved the design on the cover. If it is any indication, I believe the photographs will enrich the book.

Photographs do enhance the understandability of a book. But it depends on the type of pictures used. I prefer books that showcase nature and real places mentioned in the narrative.

I just bought the book, I skimmed through a few pages and the artwork is definitely striking. I just cannot wait to complete the book and discuss it further in this forum

I was drawn to the book because of the cool artwork, especially those words that are highlighted on pages. It's funny because I do that too sometimes! But honestly, the pictures give the whole book a unique and awesome vibe.

The artwork was an eye catcher. It drew my attention to the hook and made me understand some complex concepts in the book. Simply wonderful stuff.

I felt that the photographs were just okay in this book. I felt that they were really simple, but did not seem to add anything philosophical to the book. I feel that the description made it seem that they would be a little deeper, but it was just a simple coaster or placemat. The photographs did make it obvious what the poem was about though.

Photography like any art in general, means many things to many people. That being said, I do like these. They reach me where I am. And, like was mentioned earlier, something visual has more staying power.

I'm, for the most part, impressed by the calligram poems. On the other hand, the photographs, at face value, seemed to lack distinctness. It also gave an immediate indication of the poem's outcome, which somehow reduced the significance of the teaser; however, it gives me the impression that the book was designed in such a way that a child would find it appealing, while at the same time, it played with the minds of adults, making it innocent and stealthy at the same time.
