Furthermore, we often need help from the outside because we can't do it alone, and that's perfectly okay!

Unfortunately, everyone's psyches are fragile. The most robust and happy, hopeful person will still waver under the right circumstances. So not really fireproof, no.

Happiness is such a transient thing: Human beings simply FEEL things too deeply and are not content with how things are; we're always searching for more and are never satisfied. I think we have achieved ultimate happiness when we are content with what we have, and this is when useful books like this one come into play...

I think this is the best way to describe happiness. With happiness nothing can pass through us and yet affect is . Happiness is the building block of hope.

Certainly! Achieving it is a challenging task, and concentrating solely on our passions may not suffice. However, with ample patience and consistent practice, it can certainly be accomplished.

Well I think happiness isn't fireproof except you make it one, in fire situations you DELIBERATELY choose to guide your happiness and let nothing pierce through.

Yes, I believe that it has the potential to be Fireproof. Happiness is free and is gotten from content. Once one is content, happiness is achieved.

I can say for sure happiness is fireproof because when one one is happy it's hard for anything to to affect the person deeply. I think this is a very good question.

Unless you're very thick-skinned, have some sort of syndrome, are continually high on substances or are a young child, no one is immune from sadness. It infiltrates, darkens our moods and changes our lives. It's part of being human.

I hold an optimistic perspective that the human capacity for happiness and fulfillment can be cultivated and reinforced to the point of withstanding many of life's inevitable hardships and sorrows.

Through practices like meditation, gratitude journaling, investing in community, and living purposely, I believe we can develop resilient inner resources to lean on during periods of turmoil.

Just as muscles strengthen with consistent training, so too can our ability to find inner peace and joy while facing external stressors.

While happiness can be a powerful source of strength, it may not be completely impervious to life's trials. Inevitable difficulties have the potential to test even the most resilient happiness.

I do not think that happiness (whether the feeling or human flourishing) is fireproof. However, I do think that if we embrace many of the advices that Dr. Ross provides, we can certainly live a meaningful and enjoyable life. I feel that putting "happiness" on the high-level of "fireproof" could be discouraging for some people. Maybe your journey is way behind, relative to others, but that does not mean that one cannot be presently living a life of meaning and joy.
