Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

I say the word strategy is as important as the word hope. I mean, hope works when it's part of a strategy.

Hope is a good strategy depending on the situation. For example - If someone hopes to lose weight but doesn't act on it, then it is more of a false hope. However, if someone hopes to get well from their sickness and take the proper medication then it could lead to their recovery and happiness.

Ofcourse. We could make a lot of plans, but it will fail, if we don't have any hope. So, hope is an important factor in one's life.

I partially agree. Hope is undeniably one of the best strategies, perhaps even among the most effective and appealing, but not the sole best strategy in my opinion. As mentioned in this book, having hope alone won't suffice for achieving the desired outcome. Other crucial aspects must also be brought to the table to attain the desired result. While hope is undoubtedly a vital and straightforward strategy, putting in the necessary work is equally essential.

I agree. The power of hope cannot be overestimated.

"Hope breeds self-transcendence, a feeling that one is here to serve a higher worthy-living-and-or-dying-for purpose."

Hope is like a "Water Floatation Device" that keeps us afloat and prevents us from sinking into the lower grades of existence when the flow of life becomes turbulent. Hope empowers us to live—and depart—gracefully.

"Hope is the best strategy."

Absolutely. Hope is the best strategy. If someone is hopeful, he/she would actually make the effort to
reach that goal he is looking for. It's hope that makes us do things.

Absolutely. Having hope means that you'll never give up and that you'll try your hardest every day in the hopes that things will improve. Hope simply helps us to continue moving.

Absolutely. Nobody will be able to keep going if there is no hope. Hope is what gives you a sense of assurance that things will work out in the end.

While hope can provide motivation and optimism, relying solely on it might not be the most effective strategy. A balanced approach, combining hope with realistic planning and proactive efforts, often yields better results.

I do agree. We all need to have hope - that things will get better, or all work out. Otherwise, what else d we really have?

Hope is the best strategy is OK. But you could say 'keep hope on your mind as an outcome' when you have your strategy planned to improve your situation.

It is mentioned in the book that relying solely on hope is not the solution. One must put in the required effort too. However, having hope leads one to put in effort. If a person has no hope of a better tomorrow, he may not feel the need to do the required things to achieve a better future.
