I believe that anybody who connected with the characters in Book I will certainly want to read Book II. Ramirez did a great job connecting us emotionally to the main characters. Further, it was his debut novel. We will surely see an improvement in the quality of his writing with Book II. Whether the storyline of Book II will excite or dissapoint is unknown. That's why I recommend reading the second book if you liked the first.

I would love to read the next part! I have a thing though for wanting print copies of the books I've read and really enjoyed, so I guess I need to buy The Great Migration in print first, then get the sequel lol. I'm excited for it, but it could take a while. I must say though, I was a bit surprised by the end, and the abrupt jump from the S'orne migration in the Crystal City to Bellona and Keldiari arriving safe in Thunder Valley. I figured it would end after the bloody migration and then the second book would pick up with the journey back to Thunder Valley.
