This is a discussion topic for the February 2024 Book of the Month, "Beyond the Golden Door: Seeing the American Dream Through an Immigrant's Eyes" by Ali Master.

"I would learn during my remaining life in Pakistan, safety is a relative term. " said Ali Master

We are living in a period where the immigrant population in the world is increasing. I think the biggest problem is "security", probably because everyone is an immigrant, willingly or unintentionally.

I will say yes. Safety is a relative term, given the level and nature of element that different countries call insecurity varies. Also, when one want to immigrate to another country, there is no need to fear if one's life is secured inasmuch humans live there safely.

If we generalize it as an involuntary change of our normal conditions, might it not be relative?
