I feel like the biggest surprise for me was when he spoke of how he grew up in his home country, as well as what it was like and how the people treat each other there. I have never read a book from the perspective of someone with this background before.

When he thought he got a girl pregnant I was actually waiting to see how it would play out. I foundnit somehow hilarious. Well good thing he learnt his lesson.
